There are over 36 million people living in Canada with some of the largest industries being oil & gas, mining and liquified & natural gas. There are notable business opportunities in Canada for rail; over $6 billion CAD have been allocated to developing some of Canada's largest rail networks. Canada also has 55% of the world's natural oil reserves and UK businesses are free to invest in these enterprises.
In 2013 alone, trade between Britain and Canada was worth £7.5 billion. The top UK exports to Canada are as follows:

VERY impressed with the service, Mark Smith was I think brilliant in his response to any queries I had an resolved them very quickly and effectively. All around ParcelHero's was wonderful. I will certainly use them again (no plans at the moment) and recommend them to friends.
Again, thanks. Dave Stokes.
Arrived really quickly, great service! It's just a bit of a pain having to print all of the documents but not too much of an issue.
We used Parcelhero on the recommendation of a friend to send a package to Canada from the UK. The process of labeling the package and writing and printing off the Labels and customs documents was well explained during the booking. The courier was very helpful in final preparation of the package before taking it away. I was interesting to watch the daily tracking information to follow it on its journey via Birmingham, Gatwick, Indianapolis US and Memphis. As first timers with Parcelhero we would recommend it to others.
What an excellent service. Having been let down badly in the past by postal services decided to give ParcelHero a try to get Christmas to family in Canada. Price was very competitive, website easy to use and the chat feature much appreciated when I ran into problems with the customs forms. Parcel collected on appointed day ( very helpful driver) and was delivered on stated day in Canada. It was nice to be able to track parcel all the way. What more can I say - it worked perfectly. Will definitely use again and recommend to anyone else in same situation.
Professional, reliable service, convenient and keep you up to date with tracking info. Will use them again.
I needed to send important documents to Canada and wanted guaranteed delivery so chose ParcelHero. I was not disappointed. From booking on the website, to preparation of documents help, the assistance given on the chat facility, the tracking and prompt delivery were all outstanding. I am sure I will use the service again when the need arises.
Excellent service delivery. The collection gentleman, Richard was helpful & friedly. from collection to delivery, it took 24 hours. Thank you very much; I would definitely recommend you.
My parcels arrived in one day (UK to Canada), I was called to prepay the tax and duty before they arrived making it all very easy when they were delivered - by a cheery deliveryman and with all boxes in good shape. This was a test and I will definitely be placing more similar orders from you. Great job, well done!
excellent service as usual from the pick up driver who is a perfect gentleman to the end of the journey where it arrived 48 hours later in perfect condition...Thank You all...

It is worth noting that Canada is the second largest country on Earth and has a population of over 36 million. Due to the huge area that the nation occupies, prices and delivery times differ throughout; even when using the same service.
As vast swathes of Canada are an icy tundra, many Canadian addresses are located in remote areas. Remote areas are defined by courier companies as areas that are not easily accessible for pickups and deliveries. Extra charges will apply if your destination address is located within a remote area. Most deliveries won't have this charge though, as more than 50% of Canadians live in the small south-eastern pocket of land that borders the USA. This is because Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa; Canada's 1st, 2nd and 4th biggest cities respectively, are found in this area.
Any parcel that arrives in Canada through international shipping must pass through Canada Border Service Agency (customs) before it finds its way into a delivery truck.
When shipping a parcel from the UK to an international destination, there is often a set parcel value which if your shipment falls below, you do not have to pay import duties or tax.
In Canada this value is set at $20 CAD (Twenty Canadian Dollars). If you are sending a gift to someone in Canada worth $60 CAD or less, it is exempt from all customs duties and taxes. Goods that do not qualify for the Canadian $60 CAD gift exemption are tobacco, alcoholic beverages, advertising material and any items sent by a business.
If your parcel is not exempt from duties or taxes, the recipient will have to pay the relevant fees. This amount will be based on a few relevant factors:
Check ParcelHero's Prohibited items list to ensure that the items that you intend to ship will be allowed to enter the country. Canadian authorities prohibit the import of various items that you can find on their dedicated customs site. Notable items that are prohibited by the Canadian border authority include:

Addresses in Canada will look familiar to those sending parcels from the UK as they follow a similar structure to British addresses. If sending to the French areas of Canada, such as Quebec, you do not have to use the French language when writing the address.

Much like the British, Canadians tend to send gifts to each other on birthdays, Christmas day and Valentine's day. If you do intend to ship items to Canada around these holidays then it is wise to send well ahead of time to avoid the delays which exist at this time the world over.
There are 3 days in which courier services will not deliver or collect that are unique to Canada.
